Mr. William Allensworth founded the firm in 1995, after spending the first 20 years of his career as a litigation partner at Haynes and Boone, where he served as Managing Partner of the Austin office. He has tried about 60 cases to Texas juries in state and federal courts and handled dozens of appeals, including several of the more significant construction law decisions in Texas law.

In addition, William Allensworth teaches courses in construction law and construction litigation at the University of Texas School of Law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, and he was the founder of the Construction Law Section of the Travis County Bar Association, now the Austin Bar Association. Prior to attending law school, he served as a Lieutenant in Battery K, 4th Bn., 11th Marines in the former Republic of Vietnam.

William Allensworth is licensed by the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Texas, U.S. Court of Claims, 5th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and all U.S. District Courts in Texas. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
