Mr. Griesel joined the firm’s construction law practice in 2007. Prior to
joining the practice, he was a trial and appellate attorney in a wide range of
construction, commercial and personal injury matters. He has also drafted
legislation for and counseled members of the Texas House and Senate on a
number of issues, including state and local government purchasing and
bidding, development and zoning issues, and the regulation and operation
of state agencies and disciplinary boards.
Working as the Rules Attorney to the Supreme Court of Texas, Mr. Griesel
assisted judges and practitioners with interpretation of the rules of practice in
Texas Courts. He also served as Deputy Parliamentarian to the Texas House of
Representatives where he worked with a wide variety of private entities and public
agencies to help House members and their constituents achieve their legislative
goals. He began his legal career as a briefing attorney with the Supreme Court
of Texas.
Chris Griesel is a graduate of Texas A&M and Texas Tech Law School,
where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and was order of the Coif.
