The Austin Business Journal featured an article written by AAP Partner Matt Ryan in the June 12th edition. Matt shared his expert insight on how architects can steer clear of client and regulatory problems.
Matt encourages architects to remember common sources of Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) complaints and the idiom “bedside manner counts.” According to Matt, recalling the TBAE statement of jurisdiction and addressing all “bullets” can prevent future problems.
When in doubt, speak with a member of the TBAE board’s enforcement staff and “learn to make peace — not war — with your clients, colleagues and the board.”
