Allensworth & Porter, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Joe R. Basham, a partner in the firm, has been appointed to the City Council of Rollingwood, Texas, and was sworn in as Alderman on June 20th in the Council’s monthly meeting. Mr. Basham served as Treasurer and Director of the Rollingwood Community Development Corporation from 2007–2011, is also a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin, and brings a wealth of experience to his new appointment.
Mr. Basham’s practice at Allensworth & Porter focuses almost exclusively on construction law and construction litigation, including arbitrations and mediations. He represents owners, developers, general contractors, EPC contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers, focusing on dispute avoidance, management, and resolution.
After receiving his J.D. from Texas Tech University and his B.S. from Texas A & M University, Mr. Basham joined Allensworth & Porter, LLP in 2002, becoming a partner in 2007. He and his family have resided in Rollingwood since 2005.
