Contract Immunity Update: This paper is an update of Amy Emerson’s 2016 paper on contractual immunity. It discusses the latest significant opinions applying to Supreme Court’s decisions of each of the three Texas Supreme Court cases affecting contractual immunity.

Since last year’s Texas City Attorneys Association conference, the Texas Supreme Court has not issued any further decisions on the issue of contractual immunity. Instead, most of the case law developments have been from the courts of appeals as they attempt to interpret and apply the Zachry and Wasson decisions.

This paper is an update of Amy Emerson’s 2016 paper on contractual immunity. It discusses the latest significant opinions applying to the Supreme Court’s decisions of each of the three Texas Supreme Court cases listed below.
