Christopher Craven practices primarily in the areas of construction law and construction litigation. Working with design professionals in disciplinary and registration proceedings before the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, Mr. Craven has also worked extensively with design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers in payment dispute resolution.

Mr. Craven began as a law clerk at Allensworth & Porter in 2007, while a student at the University of Texas School of Law, after taking both Matthew C. Ryan’s Construction Law class, and William Allensworth’s Construction Litigation class.

Graduating cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas, with a B.S. in biology, Chris then earned his J.D from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008, where he was a staff editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal, and participated in mock trial and negotiation competitions.

  • Chris is an Eagle Scout, an achievement he earned in 1998, after designing and leading the construction of a playground fixtures for a nonprofit preschool as part of his Eagle service project.
