Matt Ryan has extensive experience with construction disputes and other matters, including serving as lead counsel and appearing in federal court, as well as arbitration, administrative proceedings, and extensive mediation experience. In the Fall 2006 and Spring 2008 semesters, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas School of Law, teaching a three-hour upper level course on Construction Law and a two-hour seminar on Construction Litigation. Matt regularly represents design professionals in disciplinary and registration proceedings at the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and Texas Board of Professional Engineers. Matt has lectured and focused on lien and bond claims, AIA form contracts, design professional disciplinary actions, and claims before the Texas Department of Transportation and the State Office of Administrative Hearings. Before joining the firm in 2000, he began practicing construction law in Dallas at the firm of Canterbury Stuber, after a term as a federal law clerk in El Paso. Matt Ryan also has experience with real estate law, contract negotiations, and other areas of commercial and civil law.
