Mr. Matthew Cano's practice emphasizes litigation in construction litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury defense. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Joining the firm in 2001, Matthew Cano has represented architects and engineers, contractors and equipment dealers in contract, tort, and insurance defense matters. Matthew Cano earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 1985, and his bachelor of arts in criminal justice from St. Edwards University in Austin. Matthew Cano was an Assistant City Attorney in Corpus Christi, Texas, for three years and also practiced insurance defense law there for more than 12 years. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas (Construction Law Section), Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and Austin Bar Association (Construction Law Section).
