Chris Craven

Christopher Craven primarily practices in the areas of construction law and construction litigation.  He works with both design professionals in disciplinary and registration proceedings before the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.  Chris has also worked extensively with design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers in payment disputes.

Mr. Craven began working at Allensworth & Porter in 2007, while a student at the University of Texas School of Law.  He began working as a law clerk at the firm after taking both Matthew C. Ryan's Construction Law class, and William Allensworth's Construction Litigation class.

Chris graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas, with a B.S. in biology.  He graduate from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008, where he was a staff editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal, and participated in mock trial and negotiation competitions. 

Chris is an Eagle Scout, an achievement he earned in 1998.  As part of his Eagle service project, he designed and led the construction of playground fixtures for a nonprofit preschool.
